Leadership /Career
I was employed in a temporary contract position and needed to find a permanent position. I felt that I was stuck in a rut and that my usual ways and approaches to finding a job just weren’t working. Yet, I couldn’t figure out how to make effective changes on my own and knew that I needed help.
That was when I found Tina.
Not only is Tina is very caring and insightful, but is also direct. She was able to “push” me to be better, more creative and more open in what I do and how I approach what I do.
After working with Tina, I was able to find two terrific career opportunities, both of which I was recruited for – I did not seek them out directly but was contacted by the head of the company who had heard that I was looking for a job. This is the first time that has ever happened to me in my career, and I doubt it would have happened if I had not been working with Tina and had her support.
I love what I do now. My job very different from previous positions I’ve held, and I don’t think I would have found the opportunities I’ve had without Tina’s support. I’m now in a senior leadership position and have had to practice skills that had gotten rusty from lack of use. I’ve even added valuable new leadership skills in my work with Tina.
Working with Tina on a continuing basis has enabled me to stay focused and has provided me with a safe space to process my work challenges, polish my leadership skillset as well as helped me take care of my personal needs and create more balance in my life. I am now aware how critical balance and taking care of my personal and social needs are to being a good leader.

“When I started working with Tina, I was frustrated with my career and unhappy with many of my relationships. I was bereft of energy and enthusiasm, suffering from low self-esteem and a lack of direction in my life.
“Tina helped me discover how to revitalize my energy and reestablish a new zest for life. She always gave me her undivided attention and through probing, thoughtful questions – the kind that open genuine discussion — she helped me discover what it is that touches my heart and what I really longed for. In an honest and caring way with a high level of enthusiasm and intuition, she perceived what direction would yield the most benefit for my growth and helped me to discover those new pathways for living a healthy, balanced and successful life.
“Tina shared freely with me her many valuable resources so that I could discover what was truly important to me in all facets of my life, but particularly my career. She held me accountable to my commitments, provided encouragement and insightful feedback. Because of Tina, I am a better business woman, with confidence and faith in myself, embarking on a new career with a profitable international corporation.
“My work with Tina has left me with a sense of well-being and direction in my life that I never before experienced. Executive Coaching
I had the pleasure of being coached by Tina as part of a leadership development program at Prime Revenue.
I went into the process a bit skeptical on several fronts: was I going to achieve meaningful results, would this be high-level coaching only or practical working sessions on real issues, was it going to be rigid or fluid, was I even going to like or get along with my coach?
However, I have to say that Tina and I hit it off right away. She has a great personality and was easy to open up to and trust. You need to be able to trust your coach on many levels and that is not an issue with Tina. She didn’t waste time, she got right to the matter at hand. She challenged me on my current thinking and there was no sugar coating my issues – I was being coached.
We reviewed and role-played real situations and worked through different strategies on how to address them. We would pivot as needed to address new situations. She provided materials to read to re-enforce what we were discussing. I realized everyone needs to be coached no matter what your title, tenure at a company, age or profession.
I really enjoyed and looked forward to our meetings. It was fun and enlightening. I feel lucky I was able to go through this process. And I feel even luckier that I got to go through it all with Tina.

Executive Coaching
Initially, I had the goal that the coaching would help me keep on track in planning steps for a major project: to move the City’s Aging in Place strategic initiative forward. The coaching helped me to brainstorm various steps and be careful of my choices in setting out a broad collaboration without slowing the progress. Little did I know at the time what would come to light working with Tina.
Tina helped me identify that I was having emotional reactions that were misplaced. We talked through those emotions that would have blocked progress on my work. With her encouragement, I had a unique, safe way in which to process emotional reactions, keep those out of my daily interpersonal communications and have cleaner workplace dynamics. This prevented me from making mistakes, or when I did, to correct those errors promptly.
I pour myself into the work – and I found that work fulfilling. But that decision caused an impact on myself and my family. I knew that I could not perceive the degree of stress outside of my usual habits. Stress was there: With the coaching, I now see this with a different lens. I was not having time for my other interests, connecting to the arts and for relaxing. I realized it was time to retire.
The coaching meetings with Tina created a safe space to think this huge career change through, which gave me confidence in my decision to roll out the closure as well as support the Aging in Place initiative. I used our coaching calls to stay forward-looking and excited. We developed the motto “let go, celebrate, sail forward.” It worked!
So many improvements in my leadership approach occurred, including: strategic planning, collaboration, more effective communication, I became more organized, efficient and with more life balance and my wellness improved.
On a scale of 1- 10, I’d give Tina a 20! I was constantly amazed to have Tina’s validation about coping in the workplace, her knowledge of toxic environments and could laugh about it, but also, bring a wider perspective to how workplaces can be.
Tina keeps the highest standard of confidentiality. Our conversations were safe and constructive and she brought a great deal of perspective due to her vast experience working in organizations.

I worked with Tina during a time of concurrent personal and professional transitions. I was overwhelmed, and discovered Tina through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) website.
Tina’s objective approach enabled me to make positive changes in my personal and professional life better, aligning with my values. She gave me valuable tools to improve my leadership abilities and approach, as well as my overall wellness with the techniques to maintain it. Mentoring Client
I worked with Tina at the beginning of my coaching career, when I had academic knowledge but lacked the real-world experience needed to work as effectively as I wanted to with coaching clients. Through my work with Tina, I got exactly what I needed. Each meeting gave me the opportunity to think about, and strategize, on my approach with clients, my coaching skills, and my confidence as a professional. I felt 100% supported, appropriately challenged and ready for the next coaching opportunity. I would not hesitate to recommend Tina as a Coach Mentor to any Coach seeking support, knowledge and a new way of professional thinking.

After completing one of her courses, I hired Tina to serve as my mentor coach to fulfill ICF credentialing requirements, gain momentum in my business, and be an accountability partner. I became credentialed and continue to expand my coaching business.
I appreciate her masterful coaching skill, business expertise, and sense of humor.
As a result of our work together, I can reach and impact the lives and leadership of executive clients in ways that I could not have imagined.
It’s not hyperbole to say, without our coaching relationship, I wouldn’t be a coach today.
It would have been too easy to relinquish my dream, put my head down, and revert to what I was doing before.
However, when I encountered personal hardship and setbacks, her belief in me and ongoing support saw me though, reminding me of all the progress I have made and highlighting what was possible. She recognized my skillset’s scope and value when I couldn’t see or articulate it for myself.
Tina challenges me to stretch and to go beyond my comfort zone. She, with love, holds me accountable and calls out my B.S.
I trust her to tell the truth, to be with me, and for me, as I grow and develop as a person and a coaching professional.
I highly recommend Tina!

Student Education
Tina was my instructor in an advanced coaching course at Institute for Life Coach Training. She is thorough, prepared, and one of the best instructors I had in all my coach training. She has a unique ability to facilitate a learning environment where students can be vulnerable, receive coaching themselves, and emerge with more insight to what advanced coaching skills are all about.
I now encourage my clients to go deeper and wrestle through to a higher level of achievement because I am no longer afraid to ask the harder questions.
My immediate take aways from Tina’s teaching and coaching is I now have more confidence and polished coaching skills. I’m also a better leader in my company as I hold my staff accountable and push them to grow at a whole new level now – they have responded positively and we are all impacted as a result!

Student Education
I began my coaching journey about three years ago. I have been supporting people in my life since I was very young (based on feedback from friends). My husband, having overheard many support conversations, encouraged me to pursue coaching formally. After first trying to educate myself with books, etc., I was clear there had to be a better way! In researching coaching education, I found Institute for Life Coach Training, and have been quite satisfied with my coaching development.
I liked Tina’s direct approach as an educator, she was always prepared, clear in her communication about expectations of her students and provided insightful and effective feedback, supporting of not only my growing edges but my strengths as well.
Since taking advanced coaching courses with Tina, the quality of my coaching has grown exponentially. I trust my instincts so much more. I use direct communication much more often and effectively, and my confidence as a coach continues to grow. I so enjoy Tina’s instruction, I continue to take courses with her.

“In all honesty I took this ethics class because I needed to for credentialing purposes. Just knowing it was about Ethics made me think it would be a dry and boring class but that was far from the truth! This was one of the best classes I have taken! It was very interactive, informative, upbeat and most importantly, it was current! Tina discussed real life situations and helped us determine the differences between ICF and CCE regulations. I highly recommend EVERY coach take this class.”

To align myself with someone who is passionate about ethics was exactly what I was looking for! The coaches in the workshop were very inclusive with me being in Dubai. I loved the pace had fun and loved the materials and webinar presentation is very visual.
Benefits – connecting with other likeminded people, being mindful of what it means to be ethical in my coaching business, really got to the nitty gritty and I updated over 50% of my coaching agreement with the information from this course. The biggest learning is when I think about my clients, my ethical radar is spinning consistently now.
The quality of the workshop was excellent, extremely well organized, with professional and very engaging exercises, and the teaching was appropriate for all attendees. Very relevant to the coaching profession.
Tina’s instruction was upbeat, supportive, with an excellent style. She shared relevant material with diverse case studies that were engaging and involved active participation using real case studies.
Summing up the course, it was a lot of fun, allowed students to engage professionally, attain quality learning and instructing by Tina.

Tina has taught me the importance of being organized and how to achieve it. She has also shown me how to recognize when I was the bottleneck and how to give up control and delegate to those around me who were more talented. I have created an incredible team of employees, a stress free environment, new internal systems and increased productivity equating to increased profitability. Ethics Workshop
Tina Elliot really has taken my awareness of coaching ethics to a whole new level. Like most coaches, I thought I was very ethical and in many ways, I was. But in this course Tina helped me think more deeply about Ethics and become more profoundly aware of how I might not be serving my clients as well as I thought and how I might be leaving myself wide open for ethical hot water. Who knew? As a result, I feel so much better prepared for anything. I also feel that I’m serving my clients with a higher degree of ethical care. This course should be a “must take” for every professional coach.

Ethics Training
As a participant in this course, I realized ethical decision making is not a linear process, but rather involves a “renewing of the mind” approach. What I understand and value is that ethics is a philosophy of living well in. Perhaps the most significant learning outcome I gained is utilizing a framework that will guide me toward decisions with a clear conscious and sense of peace. Overall, this class reminded me of the importance of pursuing excellence and continual learning as a professional life coach.
I appreciated the entire package that was offered in this class. Tina was always prepared and well-organized; materials were sent to participants several days before meeting for the teleconference sessions. The class format was consistent and the group was focused. In addition, Tina has a calm way of explaining sensitive issues, as well as clearly differentiating ethical guidelines and laws; she emphasized the importance of increasing our ethical awareness and how to efficiently utilize the ICF/BCC codes.
In my opinion, this course should be a requirement for all coach training programs because the fundamental principles are intended to safeguard and empower professional coaches before conflicts arise with clients.

Ethics Workshop
I was drawn to this course as it was specific to ethics in coaching. Not only did I receive ethical information and tools but left with a sisterhood of fellow professional coaches to draw resources from worldwide.
This course was on topic, on target, intelligent, insightful and it to the point. A good balance of education, communication and member input. It’s a great example of group interaction and should be a fundamental prerequisite to anything you do with a client. It’s an instruction book for success as a coach.
Tina Elliot creates a safe environment, she was free in sharing her experiences for education and heightened ethical awareness. I’m so excited about knowing the ethics codes and loved the real time study. I really enjoyed the entire process and highly recommend this program to all professional coaches.
